Happy and Sad Teeth Collage

We had a lot of fun creating these tooth collages. I found the idea on Kid Soup's Free Dental Activity Page.  My son did struggle with the whole concept of the sweets making the tooth sad because sweets sure make him HAPPY!

Materials:
Directions:
  • Print off 2 tooth patterns
  • Using the marker to label each tooth with Happy or Sad title.  Also, draw a happy or sad face on each.

  • Cut out food images.  If your child is capable allow them to cut them out.
  • We focused on one tooth at a time so I could go over the food items with him and explain why those foods made the tooth happy or sad.
  • Have your child glue correct images on each tooth.

Most importantly remember to enjoy this time creating with your tot.

The most effective way of teaching your kids dental hygiene is to use visuals. Do not underestimate the power of pictures because these stuff really sticks to their mind!

This is a great idea! I'm pretty sure my kids would remember this exercise. I always keep my emergency dental care information near me, just in case.

What a great way to teach kids how to choose healthy foods. I think I'll try this for children with disabilities i am teaching.

This is absolutely golden. I'll try to mix your ideas with some new things that will teach dental health to kids.

It's a perfect artwork for kids because they get to know what foods are healthy for their teeth. It's also a good bonding experience for kids and moms.

This is an awesome way of educating kids about the importance of strong teeth and a good oral hygiene. I'll try to do this awesome activity at home with my kids.

Kudos to these moms! Dental health should start at a young age so that these kids could incorporate the practice later on in their lives. This activity makes them aware of which food damages their teeth and which ones don't.

It is good to teach our kids the healthy and not healthy foods to eat while they are still you. We should teach them how to take care of their teeth properly so when they grow up, they already know these things and it won't be difficult for us to look after them all the time.  dentist kansas city
